At its Jan. 4, 2024 organizational meeting, the Orleans County Legislature re-elected Lynne M. Johnson, Chairman, and William Eick, Vice Chairman, then adopted 18 resolutions setting pay, contracts and appointments for the year, almost all by 7-0 votes. The lone break in unanimity came when Donald Allport, Majority Leader, cast the meeting's only dissenting vote, against reaffirming appointments to the county's Industrial Development Agency.
